Integrated Safety and Security Training and Evaluation Complex (ISSTEC)
Project Description
The nationally recognized ISSTEC is a 100’ x 96’- 2 story covered structure with a 40’ x 80’ enclosed mezzanine. The complex is constructed out of 28 containers that are stacked two high in a rectangular shape with a two-story row of containers dividing the complex in half.
Major Elements of the ISSTEC Include
Concrete foundation, partial second floor, a 40’ x 80’ enclosed mezzanine on the first floor, two 40’ x 36’ open areas on the first floor with reconfigurable walls, and walls forming a simulated vault type room with vestibule/air-lock. A 36’ x 30’ Special Facility with separate operations console, climate controlled, windows and doors to the exterior, wall openings, catwalk observation ports, doors to the interior rooms, three different stairwell configurations, roof top fighting positions with safety railing, panel roof system, louver/vent system for airflow and natural cross ventilation.
Features Include
Seventy-nine (79) wall openings of various sizes. Twenty-five (25) doors, consisting of four (4) double doors, nineteen (19) single doors, and two (2) roll-up doors. Ten (10) windows fitted with safety glass capable of resisting the impact of the standard paint marker cartridge. Six (6) Observation Ports with a catwalk system for observation purposes.
Electrical Package Includes
One 200 amp disconnect switch, two 100 amp load centers, 197 dust/vapor/impact resistant fluorescent fixtures, six high bay fixtures, independent lighting systems, light switches, and receptacles.
HVAC Package Includes
Four separate HVAC units, one 1-Ton, two 2-Ton, and one 6-Ton HVAC units.
Interior
The interior is insulated with 1.5” blue board insulation then covered with ½” Melamine and trimmed with aluminum trim.
Exterior
The exterior is painted with Urethane/Alkyd Enamel industrial paint. |
